- The Benefits of Basketball
Basketball is a
popular sport. The sport played between two teams with five players in each
team. Each team tries to get the basketball in each other’s basket. I prefer
this sport than others, because this sport has many benefits. Such as :
- Physical fitnes. The physical and health benefits from basketball are the one benefit that is most recognizable. Basketball is a great cardiovascular workout. We are running and jumping and that really works the heart and lungs. We are getting our blood pumping and our breathing is accelerated. It is an amazing workout for our body. We also get the benefits of strengthen our muscles, increasing our flexibility, and burning fat. Additionally, we are increasing our speed and agility.
- Team work. Basketball is all about working together to a common goal. Everyone on the team has to learn to work together to get the win. Learning to work with others is a life long skill.
- Coordination. Basketball requires our feet, legs, arms, and eyes to all work together to win the game. By playing basketball, we are able to practice our coordination skills and learn to improve them.
- Confidence. Basketball can really be a confidence booster. No matter how good we are at the game, making a basket or just being on a winning team, can really improve our confidence.
- Social skills. Basketball is a social sport. It brings people together and creates bonds and friendships.
These five benefits of playing basketball that make me like playing this sport. After all, the priority of playing basketball is to lead a healthy life and positive values.
